On 13 September, our newly formed Tennis Team proudly took to the courts at the ISAZ Tennis Invitational Tournament, marking an exciting beginning to the team’s competitive journey. The tournament provided our boys and girls with a valuable opportunity to gain experience, test their skills, and compete alongside talented players from other schools.
Throughout the tournament, our players displayed commendable determination, resilience, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm. Olivia Woodford delivered an outstanding performance, winning four sets, while Benjamin Jones, Edward Chibwa, Aviel Divunda, and Chate Kalembe each secured two set victories. Their performances reflected the team’s dedication and promise.
For a team at the beginning of its journey, these results are both encouraging and inspiring. As the new term unfolds, our players will continue to sharpen their skills, strengthen their confidence, and learn from every experience on the court. With such promising talent and a strong spirit of determination, the future of Ashford Academy tennis holds great promise, and we eagerly anticipate the many achievements still to come.
