On Friday, October 22, Ashford Academy held its Inaugural Great Academies Award Ceremony. The award ceremony aims to acknowledge, celebrate and award students who have excelled in various academic and non-academic disciplines during the year. The event was preceded by Parent Teacher conferences for the first half of Term III.

At Ashford Academy, we aim for progress, innovation, and empowerment by instilling values of hard work, commitment, and excellence in our learners. The event recognises our learners’ hard work towards becoming high achievers in various aspects of their school lives while encouraging other learners to do the same.

The awards were in various categories: Best in the stream, most outstanding in subject awards, Most Improved, and the Head Teacher’s award. We also recognised student excellence in sports and discipline.

We were honoured to have Mrs Chila Kapaya, who graced the event as our Guest of honour. Mrs Kapaya delivered an inspiring speech to the learners by defining what success really meant. Thank you, Mrs Kapaya, for that inspiring speech.

We were also privileged to have the Managing Director (Mr Chisha Folotiya) give an inspiring speech about Ashford Academy, how it started, where it is, and the vision and mission for the future. We also extend our appreciation to all the parents that attended the event.

Well done to all the students!
