From Friday, May 23 to Saturday, May 25, 2025, our students proudly represented Ashford Academy at the National Debate League (NDL) hosted by UNICAF University. The competition showcased the exceptional skills and dedication of our debating teams across both junior and senior divisions.
Ashford Academy’s junior teams performed outstandingly, securing places among the top four and bringing home two team trophies. We celebrate the individual achievements of Stephanie Woling, Sydney Nyirenda, Kuzipa Sikazwe, and Miracle Siame, who each earned prestigious awards for their debating excellence. Special recognition goes to Zanga Sikazwe, who stood out as our best senior debater.
Thanks to their remarkable performance, Ashford Academy ranked as the second-best school in the junior division. This success has earned our team qualification for the Pan African Debating Championship to be held in Cape Town, South Africa.
