We are thrilled to announce and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our very own Daisy Katongo. Daisy has recently been awarded not just one but two prestigious scholarships that recognize her exceptional talent and dedication to her studies.
Daisy’s journey began with her selection for the TechGirls program, a distinguished U.S.-based summer exchange initiative to empower young women aged 15 to 17 in STEM fields. Her choice for this program reflects her academic prowess and underscores her commitment to pursuing higher education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
In addition to her TechGirls Scholarship, Daisy has also been awarded the Beacon scholarship, further highlighting her academic excellence and potential. This dual recognition demonstrates Daisy’s hard work, perseverance, and support from her teachers, peers, and family.
Currently, Daisy is embarking on an enriching educational journey in the United States. Upon her return, she will continue her academic pursuits at Baobab College, where she will pursue her A Levels under the auspices of the Beacon scholarship. We couldn’t be prouder of Daisy’s achievements and the positive representation she brings to Ashford Academy.
